What are Compression Stockings?
Compression stockings have two main purposes:
Preventative Use: for those who spend long periods of time standing or sitting like medical professionals, teachers, restaurant works, hair stylists, etc.. Also from people who suffer from more serious problems like swelling associated with diabetes and venous disease.
Recovery Use: for those whom have had vascular treatment like sclerotherapy or Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA). Compression stockings are used post-op in order to help maintain the level of swelling and speed up recovery.
The Circulatory Center’s staff recognizes the important roll compression stockings play for our patients. Because of this, we are currently developing our own line of compression stockings which we hope to launch in early 2011.
Currently we provide several styles and brands in our offices and are happy to fit our patients and help in the proper selection based on your specific need.
