The Advantages | Before
and After Photos
The Circulatory Centers is now offering Hand Sclerotherapy at all of our
locations for younger looking hands!
The Many Advantages to Hand Sclerotherapy...
Many women are annoyed by the veins in their hands.
As people age, they often lose fat tissue in their hands as well as skin
elasticity, making the veins more prominent and distinguishable. With
an increased interest in looking younger and maintaining our youth - younger-looking
hands are a growing trend in turning back the hands of time. Baby boomers
are looking for ways to turn back the clock and Sclerotherapy is a safe
and effective treatment for hand veins.
While hand sclerotherapy is considered a cosmetic procedure, The Circulatory
Centers staff will carry out this minimally invasive procedure with great
care, and attentiveness to your medical needs.
Why Treat Veins In The Hand?
Simply
put, to look younger and healthier quickly. Many people know that while
facial surgery helps you look younger, hands often reveal your true age.
Hand vein sclerotherapy is a simple, and virtually painless way to have
younger looking hands and increase self esteem. The results are dramatic
and long lasting. Although people heal at different rates, you will begin
to see a dramatic change in the appearance of your hands almost immediately.
How is This Procedure Done?
Much like what we typically do for leg veins - hand Sclerotherapy involves
a series of small injections into the target vein. By injecting a few
drops of a safe sclerosing agent just under the skin, into the vein, the
walls of the vein collapse and the vein is naturally absorbed by the body.
The body will then "re-route" blood flow safely through healthy
veins. Each session only takes about 30 minutes and is virtually painless.
A small cotton compression bandage is worn for two days after treatment.
Several sessions are needed. Hands are delicate and only half of a patients
hand is treated at a time for an easier recovery. You may drive home immediately.
You can resume your daily routine, with almost no limitations.
Don't I Need These Veins?
The anatomy of the arm and hand is very much like that of the leg and
foot. There are many veins which are able to return blood to the heart.
Superficial veins (the surface veins we can see under the skin) are not
essential, since there is a rich network of deep veins that is more than
adequate to drain the hand. When treating hand and arm veins, we are always
careful to evaluate each patient for adequate veins in the forearm for
future I V medications.
Is Hand Sclerotherapy Safe?
Many hands have been treated without a significant complication. Our medical
staff is recognized as expert leaders in vein therapy and have been safely
and effectively treating veins for nearly 30 years! Hand sclerotherapy
will offer a quick, easy and virtually painless way to achieve a younger,
more feminine looking hand with long lasting results.
What are the Risks?
In most cases, there is no significant risk associated with hand vein
therapy. There are no adverse reactions. Bruising is rare, but may occur.
Mild hand swelling may be present for a few days and there may also be
some tenderness in treated areas, but these resolve quickly.
