Our History
Circulatory Centers was founded in 1979 as The Circulatory Centers, by William G. Katz, M.D., F.A.C.S., a board certified vascular surgeon. Over the past few decades we have seen tremendous advances in the vascular treatment options for varicose veins. At one time, a patient’s only option for treatment of varicose veins might have been a vein-stripping done in a hospital. Often this option left a patient needing extended down-time and an ugly scars where once was a varicose vein. Now patients can expect safe, nearly painless, office based procedures with even better results and no down-time.
The physicians at Circulatory Centers have led the way for many of the advances in varicose vein treatment. Dr. Katz was one of the pioneers in the use of sclerotherapy the original gold standard of treatment for veins. The physicians at Circulatory Centers have further refined and improved upon these procedures so that today our treatments eliminate both large and small varicose veins. The Circulatory Centers are now highly regarded as one of the countries’ leading medical providers for the treatment of venous disease.
Each Circulatory Centers’ physician works with a team of qualified medical personnel. We use the latest state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques available to determine the appropriate course of treatment for each individual patient.
The Circulatory Centers are now under the medical direction of Louis M. Certo, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Certo has been a staff surgeon for Circulatory Centers since 1997 where he began his career in Phlebology under the direction of Dr. Katz.
